Weekend Re-cap; K-Krew Present The Gospel Hip-Hop Royalty Bless Up With Juliani & EkoDydda

The weekend was all things fire in the gospel hip-hop scene with two heavy weights going head to head. Kubamba krew put together an EkoDydda and Juliani Bless-Up show; a series they have been running on their YouTube.

EkoDydda and Juliani ruled the hip-hop scene; in essence Juliani paved the way for the ways for the likes of EkoDydda. Juliani started out from the Dandora hip-hop city crew. Juliani then transitioned into Gospel and contemporary conscious music a while later and the paved a new way for those who came after him.

EkoDydda was a new wave after Juliani. EkoDydda started out in the spokenword/open-mic circles until he was introduced to Juliani’s music and he was sure that the gospel industry was ready for him. EkoDydda then took a while to settle on his stammer persona that took him to the top of his game.

The Bless Up head to head battle between the two hip-hop heavyweights was moderated by K-Krew’s DJ Moz. DJ Moz played the songs for both artists as they built their way from their earlier singles to the latest. Both EkoDydda and Juliani have gone through a lot of transition through their music and at every point, their music has shaped the music industry in Kenya.
