Tiwa Savage's 'Celia' Debuts On Billboard World Album Chart

Celebrated Nigerian singer, songwriter and actress Tiwa Savage's latest body of work 'Celia' continues to receive positive reception globally.

Tiwa Savage dropped the 12-track album on August 28 that features several artists among them English singer Sam Smith, British rapper, singer, and songwriter Stefflon Don, young R&B singer Hamzaa as well as Nigerian singers Davido, Dice Alies and Naira Marley.

Songs from the album have found their way into various global music charts.

Barely two weeks after it was officially released, the album has now debuted on the Billboard's weekly world album charts.

It debuted on the chart at number 14.

The news was also confirmed in a tweet by AfroPopNews.

".@TiwaSavage's "Celia" has debuted at #14 on this week's Billboard World Albums chart."

'Celia', a project that Tiwa Savage used to pay homage to her mother is now the third album from a Nigerian artist to debut on the Billboard World Album Chart in less than two months.

Burna Boy's 'Twice As Tall' album that was released on August 14 debuted on the chart at number one while Fireboy DML's 'Apollo' debuted at number 14.

Tiwa Savage has already released two music videos for the songs off the album - 'Dangerous Love' and 'Koroba', all of which are performing well on YouTube.

Both visuals released weeks apart in July and August have over 2.3 million views currently.
