The phenomenal transformation of the gospel music industry has brought forward some unconventional tunes. It is a mix of different styles that range from African beats and rhythms to classical, modern music, reggae, contemporary gospel and choirs.

Kenya’s gospel music is now influenced by the advent of the newest instrumentation and singing style, thus making it loved by numerous people. Not only are the beats indicative of the current afro-pop beat, but the lyrics and style have massively transformed.

Lydiah Maina, one of the newest Kenyan gospel musicians, brings her new song ‘Imani’ to life with her melodic sound.

The song's lyrics are meant to remind listeners of the immeasurable power of the word of God and the amazing things that He is doing in people's lives. That is why merely listening to the tune evokes great spiritual fulfillment.

"I wrote it at a very low season in my life back in 2017, had a sick mother and life was not quite easy, so I was encouraging myself that what he says in his word I believe , I hit the studio to do this song in January 2020." she explains.

Being her first video release, her exceptional music talent and passion is evident. The uplifting vibe of this tune is that it will bring the desired ambience in a praise and worship session.

The video is stunning and is one of the most amazing gospel songs you should feature on your playlist and vibe to it.

The audio was produced at Bwenieve Studio; a well-known record label that works with amazing acts like Evelyn Wanjiru and Gloria Muliro.
