Legendary artist Omulangira Suuna vowed to take action to push for artistes to be allowed to stage their shows, even if it means following protocol of social distancing, sanitizing, and masks.

Since the lock down was eased and curfew extended from 7 to 9 pm. O.S felt it would be enough time to stage the concert. He was all over interviews calling upon artistes to come and perform his shows.

Ykee Benda and Spice Diana appeared on national TV and requested O.S to officially invite them through phone calls or any formal means.

The 'Love Yoo' hit maker, however, bitterly trashed Ykee and Spice's requests because he is fighting for every Uganda artiste to get back on stage.

"These artistes think I will go to their homes, or their offices and call them to perform at my show, they are so wrong because I will not." O.S blamed this on artistes' big egos.

He says he has enough songs to last him for two hours on stage if his counterparts do not show up.

"I will show the fans that I'm fighting for the music industry. I will not invite any artiste because all of them have TV sets, and can witness that I'm fighting for us all. Those who expect me to send them invitation cards, I'm sorry." He said.

O.S' concert was scheduled to take place at Calendar on 29th August but did not happen.

Last month, legendary Ugandan artist Omulangira Suuna (OS) vowed to protest and organize a concert despite an existing government ban, in order to push for re-opening of clubs and concerts.

Since the lock down was eased and curfew extended from 7 to 9 pm, OS felt it would be enough time to stage the concert.

He went on several media tours popularizing the concert and calling upon fellow artistes to join him.

Reacting to his invite, Ykee Benda and Spice Diana urged him to officially invite them through phone calls but not national TV.

The 'Love Yoo' hit maker, however, bitterly trashed Ykee and Spice's request stating that he is fighting for every Uganda artiste to get back on stage.

"These artistes think I will go to their homes or their offices and call them to perform at my show, they are so wrong because I will not," he divulged.
