Pastor and Gospel musician Sonnie Badu has differed with On-Air Personality, O.B Nartey on social media over the artiste of the year award winner 2020 Kuami Eugene.

Kuami Eugene, after being announced the artiste of the year award winner 2020, Sonnie Badu took to social media and congratulated him referring to him as ‘son’

“Congratulations my son, @kuamieugene remember the secret is humility, hardwork and prayer … much love … it’s purple,” he wrote.

Nonetheless, OB Nartey did not take the message well. Being in the gospel industry for a long time, the On-Air Personality, O.B Nartey disapproved the action taken by Sonnie Badu and advised him to stay concerned with matters about the failing Gospel Music industry in Ghana rather than the secular world that seems to be booming.

According to OB Nartey , Sonnie Badu interacts a lot with secular artistes with the aim of being recognized and gaining fame.

In response to Sonnie Badu’s congratulatory message to Kuami Eugene, O.B Nartey said: “Good morning Sofo Badu, Go and look for your sons who are struggling in the Gospel industry and stop this unnecessary fame attachments. Noor Congratulations my son Kwame Eugene ????????????laughable.

This “Don King” spirit won’t help you, the boys who served you are still waiting for you to give them the necessary push and features you promised them. The likes of Max Praise, Yohan, Tino Manford, Royal Chris, Kofi Perprah. You left the Gospel personalities who made us proud to go and claim fathership. What should Baba Sadiq call Kwame Eugene?”
