We have already seen several Nigerian artists drop their albums in the month of August.

It started with Burna Boy's 'Twice As Tall' followed by Fireboy DML's 'Apollo' and 'Afropop Vol 1' by Adekunle Gold, then we had DJ Cuppy with her debut album 'Original Copy'.

The most recent albums are 'Celia' by Tiwa Savage and 'Three' by Patoranking, all released on August 28.

All the projects released so far have been amazing, and we are not yet finished.

Several Nigerian artists are also expected to release their albums in September, or at least before the end of the year.

We take a look at some of the anticipated upcoming albums:

Niniola

Having served us with two hit songs so far this year - 'Fantasy' and 'Addicted', Afro-house Queen Niniola Apata is preparing for the release of her sophomore album titled 'Colours and Sounds'.

The album is expected to be released sometime in September.

Peruzzi

The huncho vibes master recently dropped a new song titled 'Lagbaja' alongside its official video after a long silent on social media.

Before taking a break, Peruzzi had announced that he was to drop a new project dubbed 'Gaza' in September but after release of 'Lagbaja', he said the upcoming album was not titled 'Gaza'.

What we know about the album is that it is being worked on by Davido, as a producer, and it remains unclear whether the release date remains September.

Yemi Alade

It had been widely thought that the multiple award-winning Nigerian singer and songwriter is preparing for her fifth studio album expected before the end of the year.

Yemi Alade has not yet shared the name of the album. She has however dropped two singles this year - 'Boyz' and 'True Love' in preparation of the upcoming project.

Davido

The American-born Nigerian superstar was expected to drop his new album 'A Better Time' in July.

He had already shared a list of artists he was to feature among them international rapper Nick Minaj, Ghana's Mugeez, and fellow countryman Mayorkun.

Davido has however gone silent on all his social media pages and it is expected he will break his silence once the album is ready for release.
