Award-winning Ghanaian musician, Shatta Wale, has composed a song to support the new social media movement in Ghana, Kumerica.

Kumerica is a term that has been coined from the Ghanaian word "Kumasi" and " America". The term represents the independence of mind of people from the Ashanti Region who never give up no matter the amount of negative comments surrounding a particular situation.

The term started trending after a video of some young underground rappers did their own thing by rapping and singing and hyping themselves.

Following that, people from the Ashanti Region who comprise a bigger part of Ghana's population have jumped on it as an inspiration to keep striving for the best.

Catch a rare glimpse of Shatta Wale giving off some dope rap bars & punches atop a standard hip hop beat reaffirming his multi-genre bending versatility.
The new Kumerica tune by Shatta Wale dropped on Friday, August 28.
