It has been a busy month so far for the Nigerian music industry that started on a high, and there is still a possibility of ending on a high.
This August, we have seen several artists announce that they would be releasing their albums, from Burna Boy who has already released the record breaking 'Twice As Tall' album to Tiwa Savage and Patoranking whose albums will be dropping at the end of the month, on the same day - August 28.
By now you have already updated your playlist with the 'Twice As Tall' album and it is time you added these other three, all from Nigerian artists.

Original Copy
This is a debut album from Nigerian disc jockey, singer and budding producer DJ Cuppy.
'Original Copy' is a 12-track album that features 14 different artists. The album was officially released on August 20 and is now available on all music platforms for you to stream, listen to or download.
Prior to the official release, DJ Cuppy had dropped two songs that were received positively - 'Jollof On The Jet' featuring Rema and Rayvanny as well as 'Karma' featuring Stonebwoy.

Apollo
Released on August 21, 'Apollo' is the second studio album for Nigerian singer Fireboy DML.
The album houses 17 tracks, including collabos with Olamide, Wande Coal and American rapper, D Smoke. Most of the tracks were produced by Pheelz, others were produced by IamBeatz, P.Prime and Type A.
Fireboy DML had already gave his fans a taste of the sophomore album with the songs 'Tatto', 'New York City Girl' and 'Eli' all of which have official visuals, amazing ones in that matter.
Afropop Vol 1
This is the third studio album for Nigerian highlife singer Adekunle Gold.
The album 'Afropop Vol 1' was also released on August 21 and has seen Adekunle Gold and Fireboy DML jointly popularize their projects now that they were dropped on the same day.
'Afropop Vol 1' is a 10-track album that contains previously released hit singles 'AG Baby' featuring Trinidadian singer Nailah Blackman and 'Something Different'.
The two singles already have videos.
While introducing the new album, Adekunle Gold said "Afro Pop Vol. 1 is a diverse take on pop music. It encompasses all genres, heavily influenced by my afro roots".
