A number of top Tanzanian artistes have released new projects over the recent weeks, with most songs doing well and topping charts across the country.
This article looks at new projects that have been received well based on YouTube trending videos:
Jeshi - Harmonize
Harmonize dropped the ‘Jeshi’ single as a surprise to his fans. Upon dropping the video, it shot to the top spot, a position common with the singer. The video has now amassed over 1.5 million views on YouTube.

Dozi - Nandy
The African Princess is back on the chart after dropping the ‘Dozi’ single. The song came as a surprise to many as it had not been anticipated. This energy-filled video ushered a new versatile Nandy. The video has hit almost half a million views on YouTube.
Jollof on the jet – Cuppy, Rayvanny and Rema
The video has been uploaded on three different channels. The video uploaded on the Rayvanny channel is currently on the trending list in Tanzania with over 700,000 views. The feel-good song was intriguing to many since the musicians shot the videos in their respective locations as they were not on set together.
Amaboko - Rayvanny ft Diamond
Rayvanny came back with this dance-inspired song about a month ago making it his second entry on the chart. The song’s choreography has taken over the region and now it has over six million views.
Mauzauza - Zuchu Ft Khadija Kopa
Zuchu partnered with her mother and queen of taarab music on this song off her debut EP ‘I am Zuchu’. The video’s popularity is thanks to the natural chemistry between the acts who were born entertainers. The video has 3.5 million views.
