EXCLUSIVE: G-kon reveals about working with Adelle Onyango
27 August 2014
I love to hear the choir sing. I love the humanity- to see the faces of real people devoting themselves to a piece of music. I like the teamwork. It makes me feel optimistic about the human race when I see them cooperating like that.
Precisely why I get excited whenever I hear Kenyan artists dropping their individual microphones and agreeing to channel their lyricism into a single one. Local pop singer Adelle Onyango and rap protégé G-kon have been in the studio together and their new single “Twendeni” is the product.
“Twendeni is a feel good song which will officially drop this Friday. It revolves around the atmosphere of a good party and what happens during such events. This will be one track you have to keep an ear out for” spoke the ‘Vile Inafaa Kufanywa’ hit maker, G-kon.
So whose on production and what kind of video should we all expect? “The video will be the artistic brainchild of international director, VJ One and and the production was courtesy of Urban Scorch the new studio in town” added the rapper.

Adelle Onyango is a guru when it comes to making hits which she proved in her debut song, “Faded” and with yet another party song on the way I can help but get lost in thought of what she has in store!
My watch is set, a sticky note is in place and my calendars all marked in anticipation for this song. This Friday party people, we will have a new jam just for you from a historical collaboative effort of Adelle Onyango and G-kon.
Keep it Mdundo for more new music!
