Bebe Col Mourns Departed Ugandan Musician Shortkut

Ugandan artiste Bebe Cool is mourning the death of his nephew Shortcut, who also happens to be an artiste and an ardent member of the Gagamel International family.

Shortkut whose real name is Allan Masengere had been admitted in ICU for more than a month before he passed on 19th August.

Bebe Cool took to his social media to announce his demise through a heartbreaking post that was flooded by messages of condolence from his followers.

"The Lord has decided my son Allan Massengere should join him in a better place. I thank all the doctors and nurses who tried to save his life for the past 40 days. May his soul rest in peace,” Bebe Cool posted.

Following Shortcut’s death, a number of musicians sent in their condolence messages.

Renowned musician cum politician Bobi Wine sent out his condolence message to the entire Gagamel International family through his social media pages.

"Today the Ugandan music fraternity has lost yet another talent, Allan Masengere aka Short Cut. On behalf of the Fire Base Crew and myself, we send heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the Gagamel Crew. We stand with you and pray that God sees you through this challenging time," Bobi Wine posted.

Unfortunately there was no vigil in Kampala due to the covid-19 situation in the communities, but a few friends and family gathered at his village home in Masaka where he will be laid to rest in Kalisizo Kyambogo.
