5 Nigerian Artists Dropping Their Albums This August

A host of Nigerian artists have announced that they are working on new projects, in the form of albums.
Already some of the artists have announced the release date of their albums while others like Davido, Wizkid, Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage are yet to announce the release date.
We take a look at 5 artists whose albums will be dropping this month.
Burna Boy
Following the success of his fourth studio album ‘African Giant’, Burna Boy last week announced that his fifth studio album will be dropping on August 14.
A majority of details about the album like an executive producer, producers, tracks and featured artists has already been revealed.
The 15-track album titled ‘Twice As Tall’ whose executive producer is an American rapper and business mogul, P. Diddy features among others American hip hop trio Naughty By Nature, Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol, British rapper Stormzy, Senegalese singer Youssou N'Dour and English singer Chris Martin.
A first single off the 'Twice As Tall' album 'Wonderful' already has a video.
Fireboy DML
The Nigerian singer and songwriter whose real name is Adedamola Adefolahan recently announced that his second studio album ‘Apollo” will be dropping on August 20.
Not many details are known about the album for the youthful singer who is signed to YBNL Nation, an independent record label founded by Nigerian rapper Olamide.
Fireboy DML’s debut studio album Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps was released in 2019.

DJ Cuppy
DJ Cuppy’s debut studio album ‘Original Copy’ is scheduled for release on August 21. The Nigerian DJ jockey has already released the first single off the album titled ‘Jollof On The Jet’ that features Marvin records singer Rema and Bongo’s Rayvanny.
‘Original Copy’ album contains 12 songs and 14 featured artists among them the son of reggae artist and performer Bob Marley, Julian Marley, Ghanaian singers Stonebwoy and Efya, international rapper MS Banks, Nigerian music legend Shina Peters alongside Nigerian singers Teni, Seyi Shey, Ycee and Fireboy DML.

Adekunle Gold
Dropping also on August 21 is Adekunle Gold’s third studio album 'Afro Pop Vol 1'. The ‘Jore’ and ‘Something’ different hitmaker has not provided much information about the upcoming project but it is worth anticipating for.

Patoranking
The Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter a few weeks ago announced that his third studio album titled ‘The Three’ will be dropping on August 28.
PatoranKing whose real name is Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie has not provided finer details about the upcoming project but he recently dropped the first single off the album titled ‘Abule’ which has been an instant hit.
