Gilad Teams Up with Eliad in New Song ‘Swahili Girl’

Renowned Israeli-Kenyan award winning artiste Gilad has dropped a new jam dubbed /Swahili Girl’ featuring Eliad.

‘Swahili Girl’ is a powerful feel-good love song created by two incredible song writers. Collaborating for the first time Gilad and  Eliad had not actually met in person when they wrote this song after being introduced by a mutual friend and then writing together throughout a series of video calls held between two countries.

The duo would later meet in Israel, where they jumped into studio with the producer of the song Tzealon to record.

The emotional lyrics written in English with a hint of Swahili tell the story of a man singing about the times he spent with a ‘Swahili Girl’ in East Africa.

The love he feels is shared throughout the bars of the song describing a romantic encounter he carries with him to this day.

So far, the lyric video is doing well online with over 58,000 views on YouTube.

Gilad is a two time AFRIMMA award winner bringing home to Kenya the Best Male in Inspirational Music and the Best Artiste in African Rock awards at the 2017 All Africa Music Awards held in Lagos, Nigeria.

A former Israeli Diplomat and corporate executive, Gilad turned full-time musician in 2015 and has since collaborated with artists such as Grammy Award Winner Miri Ben-Ari in addition to some of Kenya's most influential artistes.

On his part, Eliad has established himself as one of Israel’s leading hit-makers. Among his many accolades, Elias is an MTV Award Winner for Israeli Artist of the Year and recently won the coveted award for Israel’s song of the year 2019.
