Burna Boy Announces Release Date For 'Twice As Tall' Album

Popular Nigerian singer Burna Boy has announced that his much awaited studio album titled 'Twice As Tall' will be officially released this month of August.

In a tweet on Wednesday night, Burna Boy said the album, his fifth, will be out on 14 of August.

"#TWICEASTALL 14/08," he tweeted alongside a short video that looks like a preview of the already done body of work.

Following the success of his previous album 'African Giant' that was nominated for Best World Music Album at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, 'Twice As Tall' is expected to be even more successful.

The African Giant album was released in July 2019 and it also won Album of the Year at the 2019 All Africa Music Awards.

Burna Boy who recently won a back-to-back Best International Act at the BET Awards has already dropped a first single off the upcoming album.

The single titled 'Wonderful' has performed well, debuting on the billboard chart at number 16 with its visuals that premiered on July 1 receiving over 3.9 million views on YouTube.

In another tweet, Burna Boy also dropped a hit that the 'Twice As Tall' album has been worked on by several top producers among the Telz who produced 'Wonderful', Leriq, P2J and Rexxie.

A few months ago, veteran Nigerian rapper Illiblis had said that Burna Boy gave him a chance to listen to the upcoming album after which he reached a conclusion that once it js dropped, there will be no room for comparison of who is the greatest amongst the top Nigerian singers.

Born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu Rex about 29 years ago, Burna Boy rose to prominence in 2012 after releasing "Like to Party", the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E that was officially released in 2013.

In 2017, Burna Boy signed with Bad Habit/Atlantic Records in the United States and Warner Music Group internationally.

His third studio album Outside marked his major-label debut.
