Legendary bongo star TID has decried the use of his tag line without consultation by CHADEMA political party.

In an emotional video, TID claims the party picked his slogan #Niyeye that he uses on his Unitalent show where he scouts for talent across Tanzania.

In the video, TID said he was so hurt a whole party would take up his creativity without seeking consent from him the creator.

“Dah Kiukweli leo nimehuzunika sana, like how come mimi niumize kichwa na my creative thinking, niandae kitu nikiwa naibua vipaji #UniTalentShow kama Judge alafu chama kabisa kina kuja ku overshadow my program kwa sababu za kisiasa! Huu ubabe utaisha lini? #NiYeye is my idea,” he posted on Instagram.

In his post, he tagged a number of government officials and agencies including the Copyright Society of Tanzania, urging them to intervene and help make things right about his creation.

Tanzania is now fully immersed in political campaigns ahead of the elections set for November this year.

CHADEMA is the official opposition party and has fielded a candidate to challenge President Magufuli in this year’s General Election set for November.
