We have been experiencing Koffee in different forms since she shot into the spotlight. Koffee has a new single out dubbed ‘Pressure’.
‘Pressure’ is a single to encourage people to keep trying and not give up. She speaks on different things; living in the ghetto, growing up fatherless, daily hustles and the constant pressure to get it together at the end of the day but it doesn’t always work out.
The single is a lot different from what we have heard from Koffee before; the single is a roots-reggae single. It has the bass dub-step going on and a chill vibe about it. Koffee, in her signature rap/sung swag engulfs the beat in a very contrasting way; Koffee vocally progresses in a medium-pace against the calm and more slow-paced beat but it all comes down together beautifully.
‘Pressure’ is a timely single that the Grammy Award winner has put together both for the world and herself. During this COVID-19 pandemic, a lot has stopped and many people have had to get alternative means of livelihood and so many people are under pressure. For koffee, it comes weeks after the people of the internet had been questioning her about her sexuality which could have been a root of inspiration for this single.
Keep your head high and catch a hopeful vibe with Koffee on ‘Pressure’.
