Ghanaian singer Sefa has expressed her concern on the way female artistes only get supported by the public when they expose their bodies to please the audience.

This come shortly after one of the popular singers and songwriters Wiyaala expressed her disappointment towards the entertainment experts who accused her of losing relevance in the industry because she declined getting involved in wrongful tactics that would get her the attention of the Ghanaians. She said that she was not prepared to lose her self-just to get publicity.

Speaking to host MzGee on TV3’S entertainment show, Sefa better known by her birth name as Sefadzi Abena Amesu said that the only time they get attention and support is when they expose their bodies and act in a seductive way towards the public.

“There are a lot of people that really sing; a lot of amazing musicians. Efya is there; Efya sings but then you won't see Efya in the blogs because she's not grinding somebody on stage...or because she's not exposing too much or something," she uttered.

She added that the only reason why Ebony Reigns was so famous and loved was because a lot of emphasis was put on her body rather than her music.

"When Ebony was alive, most of the news you hear had to do with controversy. And it's not every artiste or every female musician that wants to go that line"

"So, if I come into the industry and I don't want to go that line, does that mean that my songs won't be heard or you won't push me because I'm not giving you something like that or I'll never get to the top because I'm not doing what you want me to do?" She asked.
