D'banj Celebrates His Mother's Birthday In Style

They say a mother is every persons first friend. Mothers go through a lot and make many sacrifices to bring up their children.

When children grow up and start being on their own, they will always be attached to their mothers.

Nigerian musician, singer, songwriter, rapper D'banj just proved how important a mother was in his life.

While celebrating his mother's birthday, D'banj who is also an entrepreneur and television personality showered her with all kinds of sweet words a son can tell her mother.

In a post on his Instagram account also shared on his official Twitter handle, D'banj thanked his mother for raising him and teaching him the real virtues of life.

He also named her as his 'chairman, partner and backbone' as well as "the best Mom any child could Wish and pray for".

"Who sat and watched my Infant Head. When Sleeping on my Cradle Bed———My Mother, My Chairman , my Partner , my Backbone . You have been Nothing but the best Mom any child could Wish and pray for . Your Guidance and Endless love surprises me Everytime and Everyday I love you so much and thanks again for Bringing me Into this World and For Raising Me so Well and to teach me the Real Virtues of life. Happy Birthday Mummy. I love you Mummy Show The Real D'banj."

D'banj's mother Florence Oyebanjo, a businesswoman who hails from Shagamu in Ogun State is now 67-years-old.

Officially known as Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, D'banj, also known as the Kokomaster or Bangalee, was born in Zaria, the northern part of Nigeria.

His father was a military officer who commanded an artillery regiment and a devout church dignitary.

The 40-year-old singer and rapper has won several music awards, including the awards for Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2007, Artist of the Year at the MTV Africa Music Awards 2009, Best International Act: Africa at the 2011 BET Awards, and Best-selling African Artist at the 2014 World Music Awards.
