Watch Eddy Kenzo in His New Video ‘Sonko’

Award-winning Ugandan artiste Eddy Kenzo may not be in Uganda currently, but he is still blessing us with good music.

Though stranded in Ivory Coast, Kenzo is working hard to keep up with the competitive music industry by releasing songs back to back, while flying the Ugandan flag high.

A few weeks after he dropped his viral hit 'Mugole', Kenzo is back again, this time with a new video dubbed ‘Sonko’.

'Sonko' is a traditional African play ground game where players toss a small object into numbered triangles outlined on the ground then hop through the spaces to pick the object.

In the new release, Eddy Kenzo calls upon his woman to come out and play this game with him.

He also promises to give her everything the rest of her suitors failed to offer her.

The song is a mixture of Luganda, French and English. The audio was produced by A Steyn Beats music producer.

‘Sonko’ showcases the African vibe with beats and drums being used to create an amazing rhythm.

The video shot and directed by Roland Gogo showcases indigenous dances from the African community.

Meanwhile, Eddy Kenzo and other Ugandan stranded in West Africa are set to travel to Uganda this week after government announced plans to repatriate them.
