Last week, media was awash with reports that fast-rising female rapper Recho Rey had parted ways with her manager Arnold Sempijja aka Apple Producer after three years of working together.

In a statement, Recho Rey revealed that they dissolved the partnership after Apple opted for a new adventure outside her business.

According to Apple, though the announcement was made last week, he parted ways with the artiste back in March.

In a recent interview, Recho Rey explained that they parted ways due to misunderstandings.

"The truth is we have been having misunderstandings and we have always had meetings to try air them out but he got to a point when he could not stand the present situation, he made a decision as an individual to leave. I did not chase him,” she said.

On reports that the termination was because of a romantic relationship gone sour, Recho Rey said Apple has a girlfriend and she respected that.

"People are bringing up stories and everything because they just want to hear from me but basically the problem was communication. We lost communication since the lock down begun. Communication is very vital in any relationship be it business or romantic. If it gets done, expect anything,” Recho divulged.

On his part, Apple claimed Recho had developed pride and a sense of entitlement to a point that she could no longer listen to anything he says or take any criticism.

However, Recho noted that it is Apple who did not want to listen to her ideas.

"When he said I do not listen to him, he brought it out very well because he was not listening to me too. I had a big team… We might make a decision and I agree to it but the other people on the team fail to agree, probably because they think it is not the best. He had taken this in a wrong way always but we have not been dismissing his ideas in a bad way because we could sit through it but he would still be pained and still not talk about it. So he could not take it anymore,” she added.
