Mr P's 'The Prodigal' Album Almost Ready, Release Date To Be Known Soon

Nigerian musician Mr P has announced that his debut body of work as a solo artist is almost ready.

Formerly in the music duo group P-Square with his twin brother Paul, Mr P whose real name is Paul Okoye has been working on the album he has titled 'The Prodigal'.

According to Mr P, he will be announcing release date for the awaited album by the end of July.

"Team Mr P our Album THE PRODIGAL is almost ready will be announcing the date of release by the end of the month," read part of a post on his Facebook.

"Finishing touches on THE PRODIGAL All songs are brand new and fresh! I’m different. I’m not Regular!THE PRODIGAL ALBUM will hit you soonest. The name “Mr P” is about to be unleashed on this new project!" he added in another post.

Mr P further said he was working on building his own empire.

While under P-Square, the twin brothers were a formidable force and we're regarded among the best music duo group in Africa and globally.

They released many hit songs and albums that was multiple awards.

But after the group split, Mr P now says he is happy working to he his own boss.

"Mr P! Mr P!! Mr P!!! is here to stay and I’m so glad and happy building my own empire and being my own Boss," he said in another part of the lengthy post on Facebook.

He further noted that he was now focusing on his fans and people who have supported him.

Mr P further hit out and his critics saying "If you like me. Cool! If you don’t. Okey!"

"My focus now is to those that have shown me love and support “Team Mr P” They are the ones who truly deserved my time and attention!" he added.

After disbanding the P-Square group, Mr P's twin brother rebranded as Rudeboy or King Rudy.

Reports about a breakup surfaced after Peter reportedly sent a termination letter to the group's lawyer.
