Celebrated Ugandan vocalist Iryn Namubiru recently dropped a new audio dubbed 'Mpulira', with fans expecting a video soon.

However, Namubiru has noted that she will not be producing a video for the song.

In a recent interview, Iryn Namubiru said she will not do a video because of the corona virus pandemic that has seen musicians confined in their homes with no concerts or shows to perform at.

This is a rough time for the music industry especially to those artists that relied heavily on music without investing in something else.

Namubiru divulged that video shoots are expensive and require a lot of investment, adding that you cannot survive as an artist if you choose to spend a lot with no income.

"There will not be a video because we all know the situation. You might only stop at the lyrical video because COVID stopped us from doing anything, no shows. It does not make sense running around shooting videos all through without knowing when you will be back on stage," she said.

Iryn Namubiru further asked her fans to support her audio, promising to drop the Reggae and the acoustic version of the same song.

"Long ago, we always vibed to songs without videos, so please listen to my song and support me," she said.
