The 1975 have been working with their fans, who are artists to release singles off their album ‘Notes On A Conditional Form (NOACF)’. They have now released a new single titled ‘Don’t Worry’ and a collaboration with Rindon Johnson for the video.

‘Don’t Worry’ is a very emotive single that talks about having someone to always walk with you and experiencing the calmness that comes with this knowledge.

The song is very alternative and in a very stoic way, it is packed with emotion. The piano ballad demands a lot of attention because nothing else is busy about it, not even the vocal arrangement.

The video, created by Rindon Johnson carries this same quiet and command which was very intentional and important for Johnson. It is set on an imagined street and as they describe it, “The character takes a walk through the neighbourhood one evening, listening to the uplifting piano ballad ‘Don’t Worry’, and looking up at a window, happens to catch somebody dancing on their own. The two strangers share a moment of intimacy together through the window. It’s a moment of empathy and perhaps erotic frisson; a socially distanced romance.”

It is definitely a good initiative by The 1975 to support the artists during these hard economic times. Get NOACF on your preferred streaming site and while at it, catch a vibe with The 1975 on ‘Don’t Worry’.
