Ugandan government's move to ease the lock down that was brought about by the outbreak of corona virus did not include reopening places of worship, clubs, bars.

This has greatly affected the music industry because artistes can no longer earn like they used to, since they do not get the chance to get out and perform for their fans or stage concerts.

Source Entertainment singer Spice Diana has called upon government to reconsider this decision.

Speaking during a recent interview, the 'Kwata Wano' hit maker claimed reopening these hangout joints will help employees whose livelihood depend on the facilities.

She further noted that it will also help artistes, who will get places to perform and earn some cash.

She opined that the government can come up with a directive on number of revelers that a given pub can host at any particular time, in order to curb spread of the virus.

"I think it would be helpful if the government considers re-opening the bars and letting us work under strict measures. Like the taxis, they can ask arenas and other places to only allow half the capacity so that we can work," Spice Diana said.

She noted that at the beginning of quarantine, she had no idea how she and fellow artistes would go through it, but is thankful to God for the gigs that keep bringing in money.
