Ghanaian Rapper Strongman Vincent Kwaku Osei known by his stage name as Strongman has revealed in an exclusive interview on an Accra based radio station YFM that the bad experience he had during his stay under the Sackcess record label, which is owned by Sarkodie is the main reason why opted out.

The young rapper, often hailed as one the biggest prospects of Hiplife and HipHop in Ghana, parted company with the iconic Sarkodie after working together for two years. Although they mutually ended their working relationship, music lovers still think Strongman is an ingrate who wanted more than the help he was receiving.

However, Strongman said he’s not the bad guy in the script as he blames the porous mindset of some Ghanaians who think signees are supposed to be slaves to those who sign forgetting that whatever deal they established was purely premised on business and nothing else.

Strongman noted that when a big artiste signs another musician to his record label, it does not mean he’s helping the latter but because of what they both stand to gain from each other.
He said he has refused to talk about the entire trauma he underwent when he was at SarkCess because he respects the brand and doesn’t want to spoil the relationship he has with Sarkodie, otherwise he has a whole lot to talk about than can fill a foolscap notebook.
