Celebrated Kenyan Gospel musician Guardian Angel has joined a list of artistes who have been decrying the industry being demonic.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Guardian Angel noted that the industry is fool of fake friends, who always disappear when one has troubles.

He urged artistes to be careful and be alert of the people surrounding them, adding that their families should always come first.

According to the award-winning artiste, in as much as music can earn you good money, it can also lead to your demise.

“Gooood morning Fam. I just discovered the industry is the most DEMONIC field in this world. If one is not careful you end up not raising a family, you end up with nothing and no one by your side because when you were famous you dint see the need to start a family. YOU had so many (FAKE ) friends around you. When you loose everything you remain alone, frustrated and depressed. Never allow the industry or whatever you do control your life.

“Btw wasanii niwaulize...? Pesa ya mziki inaendanga wapi? Nikama ya siasa unapata leo kesho hauna kitu na huoni kile umefanya. Music is a very good career but it is like a gun, it can shoot even the owner,” he posted.

His statement comes a few days after Tanzanian artiste Vanessa Mdee quit the music industry claiming it was demonic. Vanessa’s remark was echoed by Kenyan musician Vivian who also noted that the industry has a lot of pressure that may force one into depression.

“I love to make music but the pressure and the hypocrisy will drive you into depression or substance abuse that’s for sure.. In my own capacity as Vivian the lack of truth and lack of love that is characteristic in our entertainment system is demonic. And I appreciate @vanessamdee very much for being vulnerable and honest about her journey,” she posted.
