Buju Banton Releases Highly Anticipated Album Dubbed 'Upside Down 2020'

About a month ago, Buju Banton and Roc Nation announced the release of Buju’s new album. This would be his first album after his release from prison and he really is a legend because he came back and found a market ready for him and impatiently waiting for his new music.
Buju Banton fans woke up/slept to (depending on the part of the world) Buju Banton treating them to a live listening party of his new album on Friday. His album is titled ‘Upside Down 2020’.
We have known the direction of this album courtesy of the already released singles such as ‘Trust’, ‘Memories’ featuring John Legend and ‘Steppa’. The album is a well-crafted piece of art that serves us roots Buju, dancehall Buju and experimental Buju; guaranteed there is a single for everyone.
The 20 track album opens up to a prayer with the single ‘Lamb of God’ and it is a reflection of how deeply spiritual Buju Banton is; we have seen this with his past singles such as ‘Hills and Valleys’ and for his live this morning he started out with a prayer. Upside Down 2020 delves deeper into Buju Banton’s life where he talks about being in prison, the systemic issues in the Caribbean and relationships with people around him; the government, friends, romantically or in any other context.
