Ugandan artiste Ykee Benda has released a new single titled 'Blessings' and has dedicated it to his only son Dante Quain Tugume Muhagazi.

In ‘Blessing’, Ykee Benda expresses the joy he felt when he welcomed his son to the world.

He also tells Dante how he is a very big ‘Blessing’ to his parents. He praises his wife's strength and the pain she endured during child birth.

The video opens up with Ykee Benda and his counterpart Omega sending out a special message to Dante.

They also gather different video clips of Dante at different stages, putting them together to give us this beautiful piece.

The song comes as a birthday present to Dante who turned one on the 21st of June. It comes with a special prayer and advise to his son, to always be prayerful, respectful and adhere to all the virtues of life.

Dante's birth came as a surprise to many as Ykee Benda had officially announced on social media, that he had broken up with his high school sweetheart with whom they had been together for 9 years.

They had been in a secret relationship until the singer popped the big question in April 2017 and even had a secret kukyala ceremony that officially made them husband and wife.

Little did we know that the breakup was all a stunt to get their romance out of the media and keep haters out of their affairs.

Last year, photos of Julie Batenga's baby shower surfaced on social media and everyone was skeptical if the child was Ykee Benda's. Later on, Ykee Benda confirmed that he was indeed the father and they never broke up in actual sense.
