Ugandan songstress, vocalist and guitarist Irene Ntale has joined a section of Ugandan tweeps condemning cyber bullying online.

Over the past months, a section of Ugandan artistes have been victims of cyber bullying after posting their pictures online.

Irene Ntale feels it is high time these 'malicious' people stopped the bullying, hate, and harassment.

In a tweet under 'Stop Social Media Bullying' debate, the 'Stamina Daddy' hit maker called out slanderers, noting that they should stop tarnishing other people’s names without evidence.

"You cannot thrive by destroying careers, deliberately tarnishing names built by sweat and tears. And this kind of character goes unchecked, sometimes even encouraged. And for how much! Peanuts! #stopsocialmediabullyinguganda," Irene Ntale shared.

The campaign was championed by media personality and former TV presenter Sheilah Gashumba and her boyfriend Marcus Ali alias God's Plan, who revealed they were depressed as a result of the negative articles and gossip news against them.

They singled out a certain tabloid and gossip program which Irene Ntale happens to have fallen victim of the stories tarnishing her name.
