John Blaq Clears the Air on Claims of Dating His Former Manager's Girlfriend

Ugandan musician John Blaq last month made headlines, thanks to a heated battle with his former management who had seized his social media accounts.
Following the confrontation, social media was awash with claims that the singer was romantically involved with his manager's woman, causing their bitter split.
The claims were fueled by the fact that John Blaq, in his hit song 'Do Dat', mentioned his love for a girl called Vanessa, and coincidentally, his former manager’s girlfriend is also called Vanessa.

In an exclusive interview, John Blaq denied the allegations of the said affair, noting that he used ‘Vanessa’ because it is a name like any other.
"I'm just a messenger. People send me to sing for them songs and use the lyrics they like to dedicate to their loved ones. Many people have come to me confessing how they dedicated my music to their women and they loved it. They even call me to sing for them on their birthdays. So, I just do my music and it finds a way to those that need it.
"That is just a name I used. Just like they sing about Zuena, that is all," he said.
Regarding his current marital status, John Blaq noted that he is single.
