Niniola Set To Release New Single And Album

Nigerian singer and songwriter Niniola Apata known professionally as Niniola has announced that she is working on a new single and album.
In a post on her social media pages on Tuesday, Niniola who participated in the sixth season of Tusker Project Fame West Africa in 2013 did not provide details on when the album or single will be dropping only sa ying “New Single&Album Loading Fast…”
The upcoming album will serve as Niniola’s second body of work.
The 33-year-old singer and songwriter’s debut album ‘This Is Me’ was released in 2017 under the Drumroll Records and was nominated for The Headies Award for Best R&B/Pop Album and South African Music Award for Best African Artist.
Niniola has already released one song this year which is performing well. The song ‘Fantasy’ features Femi Kuti and already has visuals that were released in March.
The ‘Fantasy’ video posted on YouTube on March 25 has over 2.2 million views to date.
Niniola’s music career has been on the upward growth since she released her debut single ‘Ibadi’ which was nominated for Most Promising Act to Watch at the 2015 Nigerian Entertainment Awards.
Other popular songs she has released include ‘ Maradona’ produced by Sarz which topped South Africa’s Metro FM Chart for 6 weeks and was nominated for BET Awards and SAMA.
Elements of the ‘Maradona’ song released in 2017 were sampled by Beyonce in her song ‘Find Your Way’ which was part of the 2019 Grammy nominated album ‘The Lion King: The Gift’.
In April this year, Niniola received Grammy nomination certificate for her contribution to Beyonce’s album after she was credited as of the track’s songwriters and composers.
