Yemi Alade is one of the popular Nigerian female singers who are known globally having women several awards and also done collaborations with several international artists.
We take a look at four of her most-watched collabo music videos posted on the American online video-sharing platform YouTube.
Kom Kom
Released in 2017, Kom Kom sees Yemi Alade team up with high-life royal Flavour.
The video posted on YouTube on May 18, 2016, has to date been viewed over 9.6 million times.
Shekere
Released in February 2020, ‘Shekere’ video has been popular for quite some time now. The song off Yemi Alade’s 2019 album ‘Woman Of Steel’ features Angelique Kidjo and has so far registered over 9.7 million views.
Africa
In this hit song off Mama Africa album, Yemi Alade featured Kenyan Boy Band Sauti Sol.
‘Africa’ was released in 2016 with the visuals posted on YouTube in July the same year.
So far the video is the third-most watched on Yemi Alade’s YouTube channel with 20.8 million views.
Na Gode
Released in 2005, Na Gode ranks as the all-time most popular collabo music video Yemi Alade has done. The song features Nigerian singer and songwriter
Selebobo.
Directed by Paul Gambit, the gratitude preaching ‘Na Gode’ is produced by the track's guest vocalist, and served as the first and lead single of Yemi Alade's sophomore album christened ‘Mama Africa’.
A look at Yemi Alade’s YouTube channel, however, indicates that the most-watched video is the 2013 MTV Africa Music Award for Song of the Year nominated song Johnny that has over 118 million views.
Born Yemi Eberechi Alade, the 31-year-old Afropop singer and songwriter professionally known as Yemi Alade won the Peak Talent Show in 2009.
