Ugandan artiste Spice Diana has cleared the air on reports that she is currently at war with dancehall musician Cindy Sanyu.

Speaking in an interview on Spark TV, Spice Diana maintained that she has utmost respect for Cindy.

She revealed that she is in fact her number one fan, and there is no way she can compare herself to her.

"Cindy came on TV and listed me among her favourite artistes and I was so happy because I'm her big fan and she knows it. She is my friend and I do not see any weird behavior between us and it will never be there. Her mention meant so much to me and I shared the video on my social media pages,” she said.

The rumour regarding the alleged beef was fueled after Cindy made a number of social media posts turning down the accolades she won at the Zzina Awards.

Her fans believed that Cindy was bitter because she wanted Spice Diana's Female Artiste of the year award.

"I saw her posts but she did not mention me anywhere. I'm neither a judge nor organizer of these awards so there is no way. I don't want people to develop this tension between us because we are happy, she is one of my role models so I don't want to go there because I respect her so much," Spice Diana said.

"You can give your opinion as long as you have not pinpointed anyone. There should not be any problem with anyone coming to speak their mind," she added.
