After postponing the release of their album, Chloe x Halle finally dropped their highly anticipated album, ‘Ungodly Hour’. Their second studio album was well worth the weight.

‘Ungodly Hour’, simply put is an alternative to Sasha Fierce with the sister duo bringing to the table; grown and sexy, alter ego and switch up the sound and vibe.  ‘Ungodly Hour’ is quite different from their first album ‘The Kids are Alright’ and you can hear their growth; vocally, lyrically and sound.

In this album, Chloe x Halle explore love, they touch on being independent women and they also dare to empower other women.

‘Ungodly Hour’ takes the duo away from their pop sound and introduces them to a more calm but still groovy R&B. Even so, they are very experimental with the mastering and arrangement of the instrumentation on different singles on this album. We listen to them making beautiful harmonies through each song; Chloe for the lower notes and Halle for the sharper notes.

The album had two pre-released singles; ‘Catch Up’ and ‘Do It’. Their third single ‘Forgive Me’ was released the same time as the full album. The only collaboration on the album is with Swae Lee for their single ‘Catch Up’.

It is always fascinating to witness growth, in whichever aspect of an artists’ work. This 13 track album will without doubt treat you to this. Find it on your preferred streaming site . Catch a vibe with Chloe x Halle on ‘Ungodly Hour’.
