The past month has been tough for Ugandan rapper John Blaq. He lost his social media accounts, and had a bitter split with his management. In view of the above, he decided to attend a church session and seek divine intervention.

John Blaq was the guest artiste at Pastor Wilson Bugembe’s church,  and he had a few words of advice for his fellow artistes who have abandoned prayers.

"Sometimes we don't get time, prayers find us very far and we can't easily access church but me personally, I proudly front God because he has led me to the place I am at now. I give my tithe though not regularly. I give when I remember but I pray that I grow the habit of always giving in to church because it helps a lot,” he said.

"To my fellow celebrities, you should know that these things will all pass, we work hard but we shall leave everything behind when we die. So it is important we work hard for the afterlife,” he said.

Pastor Bugembe has been instrumental in bringing Ugandan musicians especially those in the secular industry back to church. The legendary gospel artiste held special services which he named 'Celebrity Sundays' bringing celebrities together for a church service.

John Blaq had never attended one but he admits he used to stream them live on Television while he was young and still in the village.
