Renowned Kenyan gengetone group Boondocks gang has suffered a major setback after their latest hit song ‘Tiktok’ was deleted from YouTube.

The song released last week was doing really well on YouTube, and had secured almost half a million views before it was pulled down.

It is not clear why the video was pulled down. However, YouTube always pulls down videos mostly because of copyright issues.

Following the move to pull the video, a number of Boondocks Gang fans trooped to the group’s Instagram page seeking to know why the viral video was no longer available.

Responding to the fans, Boondocks Gang acknowledged that the video had been pulled down, adding that they are working on having it back on the platform.

“To our esteemed loyal viewers and fans, today mid-morning Tiktok was removed due to unfortunate circumstances. We want to assure you we are working to solve it,” the group posted on Instagram.

Boondocks Gang now joins the likes of Ibraah and Harmonize who had their videos pulled down from the platform sometime back.

However, their videos were re-uploaded after they settled copyright issues with the complainants, one of whom was Kenyan super producer Magix Enga.
