Tekno Reacts After He Was Ranked Among The All-Time Most-Streamed Nigerian Artists

Nigerian artist Tekno Miles has expressed what looks like a surprise after he was ranked among the top five all-time most streamed artists in the country.

According to recent statistics, Tekno ranks as the second all-time most-streamed artist in Nigeria with 572,599,764 streams behind Davido who tops with 616,579,721 streams.

Reacting to the new statistics, Tekno noted that he has made it among the top despite not often releasing albums or Extended Plays (EP).

“I no even get album or EP ... wow who God bless no man can,” tweeted Tekno.



Tekno who started a music career in 2012 has not released any album on EP. He has however several songs and music videos to his name that have performed well over time.

A look at his YouTube channel indicates that his most-watched video to date is ‘Pana’ released about 3 years ago with over 127 million views followed by ‘Duro’ with 72 million views.

Despite not having an album or EP, Tekno has won two major awards; MTV Africa Music Awards 2016 Best New Act and Best Pop Extra Video in the 2015 Nigeria Music Video Awards and several other nominations.

Officially known as Augustine Miles Kelech, Tekno was first signed under K-Money Entertainment and released his first single titled ‘Holiday’ that featured vocals from Davido.
The debut single was positively accepted and gained massive airplay.

Other artists who were ranked among the all-time most-streamed Nigerian artists are Burna Boy at position three with 504,697,978 streams, Wizkid (478,471,546) and Sinach (471,865,198).
