Fameye celebrates Okomfour Kwadee with new song

Rising Ghanaian musician, Fameye, released a new song to celebrate the illustrious music career of Ghanaian music legend, Okomfour Kwadee. According to Fameye, the new song is not a feature but a musical piece to praise Okomfour Kwadee for his success in the music industry and how he had inspired his music. "Okomfour Kwaadee has been an inspiration in my music career and that's why I did the song to honor him. We need to celebrate his life because he has contributed immensely to the growth of Ghana's music.”

Jerry Anaabaa kown by his stage name as Okomfour Kwaadee is a Ghanaian artiste hailing from Navrongo in the Upper East Region of Ghana. He has since birth dreamt of becoming a musician. His dreams came true by the kind courtesy of Vybetown Records, a subsidiary of Vybetown Entertainment Consult, an entertainment consultancy based in Kumasi.


His debut album, 'Kwaadee' which was also the title track brought out his ingenuity. With his powerful and traditional lyrics that are very typical of the true Ghanaian, he took hiplife to a completely different level.

His second album, Metoa Su, was even bigger and again nominations for Ghana Music Awards came in from left, right and centre although he did not win any. In 2007, his song Ka Wonan To Su won the Ghana Music Award for best Original Song/lyrics.

For some time now, Okomfour Kwadee has been battling with mental challenges which landed him at a rehab center. In 2018, the news about him being abandoned at the rehab center by his family went viral. After he was reported to have recovered, it emerged he had sadly relapsed
