Tema music duo, R2bees which is made up of rapper Omar Sterling and singer Mugeez, has postponed the release date of their much awaited album, ‘Site 15′ to a later date. News reaching ghkasa.com is that R2Bees has secured a distribution deal with the Universal Music Group and that has caused the delay leading to the postponement of the release date for the album.
The wait is still on, but the good news is the album ‘Site 15’ is ready and will be released. R2bees last dropped an album Da Revolution 5 years ago and were looking to SITE 15 soon, Omar Sterling known as Payday (Pae Deezy) took to twitter to beg their fans and also to confirm the news. He wrote: “We’ve just finalized a deal with Universal for our Album SITE 15, this has caused the album to be pushed back a few weeks.. We are sorry for the delay.”
An insider tells us there was a back and forth between R2Bees and the world leader in music-based entertainment company. The source said R2Bees had planned to release the album independently earlier on, after a back and forth with Universal Music Group over a distribution deal.
However, immediately after their performance at Tidal Rave on Saturday, July 28, Universal Music Group crew flew into Ghana to finalize the deal. This, according to the “Over” hitmakers, caused the delay in the album release. The new deal will see Universal Music Group use their global networks for wider discovery, marketing, promotion and distribution of "SITE 15" album.
