Children's Day is a commemorative date celebrated annually across the globe in honour of children.

The date of observance for this day, however, varies by country.

In 1925, International Children's Day was first proclaimed in Geneva during the World Conference on Child Welfare. Since then, it is celebrated on June 1 in most countries. However, for Nigeria, the Children’s Day is celebrated every May 27.

Several Nigerian musicians took to their social media pages to mark the day in their own style.

Songstress Tiwa Savage opted to post a hilarious photo of her son Jam Jam and that of Davido’s Imade glad in old school dress.

She captioned the photo; “Happy children’s day from Jam Jam and Imade
Jamil aka Rene Magritte 1964 Imade aka Frida Kahlo 1941.”

Tekno Miles on his part posted a photo of her daughter who recently turned two.

In a tweet, she captioned the photo “My baby”.

For Blaqbonez, he tweeted that he had surprised his nephews with some goodies because he wanted to be an uncle he has always liked to be.
