Barely a week after he announced that he had joined Kama Ivien Management, Grenade Official has announced that he now has a new manager identified as Derrick from Riddim Empire.

"I have a new manager called Derrick from Riddim Empire. Music requires hard work and heavy investment. That is the work of the manager and Derrick is the right man to do all that with,” he posted.

Despite both parties confirming the agreement earlier this month, Grenade insists that they were just business partners with Kama acting as an agent.

This has caused confusion considering the fact that his 'Wali User' visuals were released under Kama's label.

"Kama Ivien was not my manager but my business partner. I do not have any problem with him." Grenade said in an interview.

Before he started working with Kama Ivien, Grenade had signed for Jeff Kiiwa's Team No Sleep.

In a recent interview, he divulged that he decided to leave the label after his music grew bigger.

"I asked him to move on when I grew up and he let me do so in peace. He is a very busy man and he wished me well when I decided to move on," he noted.

Last year, Grenade announced that he had signed under UK-based Hustle Records, but terminated his contract after breaking up with his girlfriend who introduced him to this label.

Explaining why he keeps shifting from one label to the other, Grenade noted that most of the manager he has worked with failed to fulfill the promises they made to him.

"I have one problem with all the managers I have worked with (apart from Jeff), they come to the media and promise to do all these things but behind closed doors, they leave everything to the artist. There is no reason as to why you need a manager when you do everything on your own.

"Personally, I'm not ready to go back to the village because of poverty. I have come from a far and when my career goes down the drain, people will not remember me. So I have to concentrate on the music,” he divulged.
