Over the weekend, Magix Enga made headlines after he expressed his desire to sign Diamond Platnumz and his entire Wasafi crew.

He divulged that he appreciates what Wasafi artistes have been doing, adding that the lot would get better if they signed under his record label.

In a bid to encourage the Wasafi crew to join him, Magix offered to give Diamond his Lamborghini if he agreed to sign for Magix Empire.

The Wasafi team did not respond to the offer, leaving Magix hanging, and at some point he vowed to ensure that Diamond is paid only 50,000 for his shows in Kenya, and not the millions he has been receiving previously.

Apparently, the entire rant was staged by Magix as a way of hyping one of the projects he has been working on with his signee Rudra Kartel.

In an Instagram post, Magix apologized to Diamond, noting that he used the Wasafi team to create hype around him, and thus popularize Rudra’s upcoming EP dubbed ‘Rudra Kartel’.

“I had to do this for My Artist @rudra_kartel to understand the meaning of show biz. He has been working on his new EP #RUDRAKARTELSHOWBIZ. I tried to explain to him the meaning of that, Hakunielewa, So I hard to plan the whole thing;
1. Kartel Contract / Beef with MagixEmpire
2. Three Days ShowBiz me signing Diamond… Artists work hard so that you can be paid 5million for performance too…   Apologies to @diamondplatnumz Was a nice promotion tho… Love for your new song too…  Quarantine is just a vibe ,” he posted.
