The Alliance for Change in Ghana Music (AFGHAM) is a collection of creative stakeholders who are committed to revolutionize the Ghanaian entertainment industry by creating a thriving and successful music industry for the Ghanaian artistes.

The alliance has been formed to not only educate, but also to create and advocate for reasonable and pro-active resolutions to the challenges emerging in the music industry.

While different artistes in the entertainment industry face different challenges, the charity and pressure group is committed to fight for positive change and proper restructuring of Ghana music industry.

The efforts are meant to attract both local and global investment by creating a sustainable music business economy. According to the chairman of the alliance, “in Ghana and parts of Africa some musicians, songwriters, DJs/presenters, backing vocalists, artist managers, producers, entertainment journalists, etc struggle to make ends meet or die poor after several years of dedicating their lives to a trade which should have supported their livelihood.

There is also a lack of proper education and or awareness about the business aspect of the music industry across the board.”

The Chairman added that the group believes that Ghanaian artistes are not able to make good income out of their good works as a result of lack of proper systems and efficient structures, which has equally rendered administrations seemingly incompetent in governing the affairs of music business in Ghana.
