5 Top Nigerian Musicians Who Are Under 25

We have seen many popular artists emerge out of Nigeria. From Davido to Wizkid, Burna Boy to Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade among many others.
Apart from the known popular ones, who have been in the game for quite some time, there are the emerging ones, these are young artists who have already had a mark in the music industry.
We take a look at Nigerian musicians who are aged 25 and below;
Rema
At the age of 20, Rema is already a popular figure not only in Nigeria but globally. He rose to prominence with the release of the song ‘Iron Man’ which appeared on former US President Barack Obama’s 2019 summer playlist.
One of his hit songs ‘Dumebi’ recently surpassed 21 million views on YouTube.
Terri
The Starboy Entertainment signed artist is considered among the fast-rising Afro-pop singers. He recently released his debut body of work titled ‘AfroSeries’ whose lead single is ‘Ojoro’.
Terri will be turning 21 on May 27th.
Joeboy
Joeboy will be turning 23 on May 21. He was discovered by fellow Nigerian singer Mr Eazi in 2017 after watching an Instagram video of his cover to Ed Sheeran's ‘Shape of You’.
With barely three years in the music industry, Joeboy has already established himself as a force to reckon with.
Fireboy DML
At the age of 24, Fireboy DML has one album to his name Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps which he released in 2019. The singer is signed to YNBL Nation, an independent record label founded by rapper Olamide.
Oxlade
Tipped to be among young musicians who will change the face of Nigerian and African music industry, Oxlade recently released a new project titled Oxygen, an EP that contains six tracks among them ‘Away’ which is a lead single.
Oxlade is currently 23 years old.
