Nigerian has many talented singers who are well known across Africa and also globally.

Some of these popular artists are siblings, that is blood brothers and sisters while others aside from being musicians, they live together legally as husband and wife.

We take a look at six artists who are related;

Burna Boy and Nissi

Burna Boy is a well-known singer who rose to prominence in 2012 after releasing ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E.

Nissi who is also a singer based in London is Burna Boy’s sister. Recently there were reports that Burna Boy had signed Nissi to his own record label, reports that none of the two denied or confirmed with the ‘Odogwu’ hitmaker only retweeting a tweet about the reports.

Teni and Niniola

The two who are popular Nigerian female singers are blood sisters.

Officially known as Teniola and Niniola Apata, the two are the daughters of the Late (RTD) Brigadier-General Simeon Olaosebikan Apata, a military man, who fought for the Nigerian army under ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo during the civil war.

Niniola is the older sister of Teni.

Simi and Adekunle Gold

Apart from serving us with music that we all love, Simi and Adekunle Gold live together as a legally married couple.

The two tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony on January 9, 2019 after dating for five years.

It is only recently that Simi revealed in the video of her hit single ‘Duduke’ that she was expectant and were expecting their firstborn.
