Diamond Shares Secret Behind Wasafi’s Musical Success

Renowned Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz has given his fans a snippet of the spirit driving success at his Wasafi Classic label.
Through his Instagram account, Diamond pointed out that the entire Wasafi crew is driven by passion, something that his competitors try to copy, but do not succeed.
He noted that unlike competitors, alongside his manager Sallam SK, they don't work to prove a point in the industry.
According to him, the label has succeeded musically because they do what they love.

The ‘Jeje’ hit maker made the revelation on his message celebrating the birthday of his manager Sallam SK who turned 40 years old on Monday.
“The difference between us and them is that we do it for passion because we were Born to do it....while they do it to prove a point... then ending losing, because of copying everything.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY DON MENDEZ!! @sallam_sk , Mwanzo Mwisho Mpaka Dunia nzima iongee KISWAHILI na ielewe Nini Maana ya BONGO FLEVA!!!...,” posted Diamond.
Over the recent years, the Wasafi brand has grown at a rapid rate moving beyond Tanzanian borders.
The label is known for releasing new music regularly accompanied by high-quality music videos.
Currently, the label is set to acquire a new office tower in Dar es Salaam that will house its studios and the music recording section.
