It has been barely a week into the month of May and artists have kept the momentum going by dropping new songs despite the Coronavirus pandemic and its effects.
We have already seen several Nigerian artists release their new projects while others like Davido and Tiwa Savage have announced that they will be dropping new albums.
As we move into the weekend, and the second week, we take a look at some of the biggest songs that have been released this month that will help make your weekend a better one, especially in this quarantine and isolation period.
Ojoro by Terri
Everybody who cares and has been keenly following the Nigerian music industry will appreciate the talent in Starboy Entertainment’s most recent signee Terri.
The talented singer on May 1st, that is last Friday, released the official visuals for ‘Ojoro' a lead single in his debut 7-track EP titled ‘Afroseries'.
‘Ojoro' is an afrobeats song that you will love listening to and the video is worth watching it.
Something Different by Adekunle Gold
This song that fuses afrobeats and pop sounds will definitely brighten your weekend and quarantine period. It was officially released last Friday and as we go into the weekend, it is a must have on your playlists.
As at now, only the audio version of ‘Something Different' has been released by Adekunle Gold.
Sudden by Tekno
This is the third song that the multiple award-winning Nigerian singer Tekno has released this year. It follows earlier releases 'Beh Beh' and Kata.
In ‘Sudden’, Tekno highlights some socio-economic challenges in Nigeria currently among them corruption and poverty and how all of a sudden the situation has worsened with the coming of Coronavirus pandemic.
