Steph Kapela constantly keeps us waiting for new music but every single time he delivers something so amazing that we cannot complain. He is back with a new single ‘Wewe ni Nani?’ featuring Scar Mkadinali (part of the wakadinali crew)
‘Wewe ni Nani?’ is a single that is asking you to rep where you are from and in a sense know how to move around said hood.
Scar and Steph come together to speak on issues that push some young people in the hood to result to crime; unemployment, being forced to be tough by those around, the only thing they have to survive. In retrospect, Scar and Steph also speak on what it means to live in these hoods; how to move around to make sure that what is yours is well protected.
Steph Kapela is without doubt one of the best freestylers and rappers we have in Kenya at the moment. Scar Mkadinali is one of the best lyricists and rappers we also brag of from Kenya. Their coming together, musically is something electric and out of this world. They deliver on the Carpenter produced beat with great precision. It is a bouncy trap beat that settles well for both Steph and Scar.
In case you need a way of surviving Nairobi during quarantine and thereafter, Steph Kapela and Scar Mkadinali have got you covered. Catch a vibe with them on ‘Wewe ni Nani?’
