Artist of the Day: Khaligraph Jones

“No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man” the great Greek philosopher, Heraclitus once said.

It took me a while to fully understand what he meant. I mean literally speaking, one can visit a river more than one time and remain unchanged . Hence I jumped into depth of the real meaning; the real journey  is one within. As tomorrow comes we are never the same person we were the day before, unconsciously.

And if there’s one person who has had his feet in “rivers” and comes out different every time it’s hip hop rapper, Khaligraph!

Ever since his debut single back in 2009 “Takeover”, he has had his gluteus maximus comfortably resting on the throne. Artists may seek the same position, make music targeting him, but he has remained unshaken sure of prowess in his ropes.

Started from emceeing  at local events,  moved to being a stand up comedian (which he admits sucking at), then over time transitted to fulltime rap.      

Most recently he dropped his all star collaboration “We be Happening” which took the Nation by storm with the merging of super talented minds all on one jam! Never in history, has there been so much wordplay all on one track and it still managed to sound so good!

The “Beat Killer” didn’t stop there. Today he dropped his collaborative track on STL’s “Biashara” remix, and had this to day, “Once the hype over my last two tracks settles, I will then drop my next single. The rebranded Khali will be what you will be seeing on all my next projects”

He journeys from afar and is going even further. Khali clearly isn’t stopping anytime soon! But why should he anyway?
