Top Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones has finally explained how the beef between him and Octopizzo started.

In an exclusive interview with Cleaning the Airwaves, Khaligraph noted that the beef began several years ago when the two met in a freestyle rap battle.

According to Khaligraph, when the two battled, he excited the crowd and set the bar so high, that when Octopizzo’s time came, the crowd was not impressed and started booing.

Khaligraph further noted that the booing pissed off Octopizzo who allegedly walked off the stage, thereby creating the bad blood.

“…So, I’m doing my thing, I kill it on the first round, and then it is time for him to respond, he starts rapping… Sometimes you know unaweza fanya kitu noma mpaka mtu akikuja kufanya kitu ingine next… akakuja aka rap but the people were not feeling it. I had raised the bar so high. So, he is trying to respond, diss me on stage but the reaction from the crowd is wanting… then people started booing, he got mad on stage…,” Khaligraph said in part.

Khaligraph eventually won the competition, and according to him, this is the genesis of the so called ‘beef’ between him and Octopizzo.

He noted that ever since, there has been some tension between him and Octopizzo, though he does not hold anything against the ‘Che Che’ hit maker.
